Where it ships from
Every order ships from our mill at 15775 Celestial Valley Rd, North San Juan, CA 95960. We mill it in house, so what leaves the dock is what we cut.
Lead time
Nearly everything on the site is in stock. In-stock paneling leaves the shop within 48 hours, usually the same or next business day. Custom finishes, custom milling and old growth are made to order, and we confirm the lead time in writing before we take the order.
Free shipping on orders up to 1,000 sq ft
Orders up to 1,000 square feet ship free to the lower 48 states. Paneling travels by parcel carrier, usually UPS, in 48-inch cartons. Typical transit is 3 to 7 business days. You will receive tracking by email when it leaves the shop.
Over 1,000 sq ft
One thousand square feet is where two things change at once.
It is the point where the order stops fitting parcel dimensions and moves to LTL freight on a pallet, quoted per project and not included in the product price.
It is also our wholesale minimum order quantity. If your project is over 1,000 square feet, you are a wholesale order, and you should be talking to us directly rather than checking out online. To quote freight we need four things:
- Delivery ZIP code
- Total square footage and finish
- Whether the delivery address is residential or commercial
- Whether you have a loading dock or a forklift on site
What an LTL delivery includes:
- Curbside delivery only. The driver brings the pallet to the back of the truck. Drivers do not carry material inside, upstairs, or around a building.
- An appointment call before delivery to residential addresses.
- Liftgate service if there is no dock or forklift on site. Tell us when we quote. It is an added cost, and it cannot be added once the shipment is booked.
You or someone you designate must be present to receive and unload the pallet. A pallet of paneling runs 700 to 3,000 lb and is not a one-person job.
Receiving a freight delivery: please read before you sign
Inspect the pallet before the driver leaves. If anything is crushed, wet, or the shrink wrap is torn, write it on the delivery receipt before you sign. Note what is damaged and roughly how many pieces are affected.
A clean signed receipt is the carrier's proof that the shipment arrived intact. Once you have signed clean, neither you nor we can recover a freight damage claim. That one signature is the difference between a covered claim and an uncovered loss.
Photograph the pallet on the truck and again after unloading, and email the photos to us the same day. Refuse the shipment outright only if the pallet is visibly destroyed. Otherwise accept it, note the damage on the receipt, and call us.
Damaged or short parcel orders
Contact us within 5 business days of delivery with your order number and photos. We will replace damaged boards or refund them.
Local pickup
Pickup at the mill is welcome by appointment. Call ahead so we can have your order pulled and banded, and bring straps and something to cover the load.
Alaska, Hawaii and outside the lower 48
Not covered by free shipping. We do ship there, quoted per order. Please contact us before ordering.
International
We currently ship within the United States only.
Custom and made-to-order material
Custom milling, custom finishes and old growth are cut to your order and are not returnable. Freight on these orders is quoted at the time the order is placed.
