It started with a simple question: Why throw away perfectly good wood?

Leo, studying set design and the son of a builder, was fed up with the industry's waste. He started rescuing discarded fence boards and giving them new life. Meanwhile, Ero was building a custom tiny house and, frustrated by the lack of reliable, high-quality reclaimed materials, sought out others with similar vision.

When we finally met, everything clicked.

Together, we founded Good News Wood Salvation in 2016, supplying premium reclaimed Redwood to architects, builders and manufacturers. That wholesale business is still thriving today, serving projects across the US, Canada, Mexico, and Japan.

Now we're bringing that same quality directly to you through Ethica Wood®—our retail brand for homeowners, DIYers, and design professionals who want authentic materials with a real story.
